One hole first

Why we’re building a single hole properly before anything else.

We could have started with eighteen holes. We started with one.

Headland Pines

Headland Pines is a coastal par 4 with a contoured green and a bunker that punishes a lazy approach. It’s the hole we’re using to get the fundamentals right: how a swing feels, how the ball flies, how a putt breaks.

What we’re working on

  • The swing. Draw back, release, and strike on the gold line. Early pulls left, late pushes right.
  • Ball flight. Our physics model is a first draft. We’re measuring it against real launch data before we call it right.
  • Feel on every device. A mouse, a trackpad and a phone screen should all feel fair.

What’s next

Accounts and friends are being built now, so when multiplayer arrives you’ll already have your Founder badge and your friends list ready.

Thanks for following along. Join the launch list on the homepage and we’ll tell you the moment you can play.
