What you get for free

Everything you need to play golf is free:

  • All 18 holes of Stonepine, our mountain course at morning sunrise. Play a quick three (one par 3, one par 4 and one par 5), the front nine, the back nine, or all 18.
  • Every way to play: solo rounds, the daily challenge, friendly matches with friends anywhere, and ranked play.
  • A full bag of clubs. Everyone starts with the free Fairway set and the white ball.
  • Your progress: levels, titles, achievements, leaderboards and an in-game handicap worked out from your rounds.

There's no time limit and no hole limit. Play as many rounds as you like.

What costs money? Nothing you need to play. We sell optional items, such as balls, shot tracers and the Clubhouse clubs, for credits. You can earn credits by playing or buy them. Equipment gains are small, clubs never add distance, and ranked play matches you with golfers whose bags are close to yours. Skill decides.

A golf browser game that feels like golf

One Fairway is an original game, built to feel like real golf rather than an arcade.

  • Time the strike. The swing meter decides how pure the contact is. Mistime it and the ball leaves the line you chose.
  • Choose the shot. Full, punch, pitch, chip, flop or putt, each with its own flight and roll.
  • Shape the ball. Choose where to strike the ball for a fade, a draw or more spin.
  • Read the ground. Greens have slopes, sand slows the ball and water waits for the wayward shot.

Our server replays every shot from its inputs to check the score. A round on One Fairway means the same thing for everyone.

What you need

  • An up-to-date web browser on a computer, phone or tablet.
  • On a computer: a mouse or trackpad. On a phone or tablet: your finger.
  • An internet connection. The game loads in your browser the first time you play, so a steady connection helps.

That's it. No launcher, no app store, no download.

How to start

  1. Open the game.
  2. Create a free account: choose a username, your country and your golfer. You need to be 13 or older.
  3. Tee off. Your first round can be a quick three, so you can learn the swing in a few minutes.

With an account, your progress is saved on our server, so you can start a round on your computer and finish it on your phone.

18 holes, one course, done properly

We launched with one course rather than several half-finished ones. Stonepine has 18 holes and plays to par 72: four par 3s, ten par 4s and four par 5s. There's an all-carry par 3 over water, a par 5 that bends right round a lake, and a short par 4 with water in front of the green that tempts you to go for it. Read the hole-by-hole guide before you play.

More courses are the first big updates after launch.

Play with people, not just against a computer

Golf is better with company. Add friends by username and play together in real time, taking turns with one shared scorecard. Play stroke play for two to four golfers, 1v1 match play, or 2v2 alternate shot. Or challenge a friend to the same holes and play whenever it suits you both. How playing with friends works.

New to match play? Our plain-language guides explain match play, alternate shot and gimmes.

A new hole every day

The daily challenge gives everyone the same Stonepine hole each day, with one try and a leaderboard. Finish it for 15 credits, with a bonus every 7 days in a row.

It's a beta, and nothing is wiped

One Fairway opened its open beta on 11 October 2026. Things will change and some things will break, but what you earn now is yours. Your levels, handicap, achievements, credits and items carry over to the full release.
